This application will complete all the calculations needed to determine: whether a particular service has had a material change whether a placement change is substantial or not Knowing this allows the education team to obtain the needed signatures to ensure compliance with IDEA. No calculations must be done by the user. To determine service changes the user will enter current & proposed minutes for each service. To determine placement changes, the user will enter current & proposed total school day minutes, and current & proposed minutes the student spends without peers. This application was based on both IDEA and the Kansas Special Education Handbook. *When using this application be sure to comply with your local and state education laws.*
